Kate McCarthy is a second-year undergraduate student in the Department of Environmental Sciences. Kate is exploring the technical, aesthetic, and story-telling aspects of visualizing urban air pollution datasets. This research will lay the foundation for her development of an application programming interface (API) to display nitrogen dioxide air pollution inequalities using satellite observations in major U.S. cities.
